TESCO has apologised to its customers after some stores closed unexpectedly.
Confused shoppers had their visits cut short and many were not let in after the tills reportedly crashed at some Tesco stores in Buckinghamshire on Tuesday, October 10.
A shopper in Tesco Superstore in Amersham said she was able to get her shopping done until about 6pm when the store staff began stopping new customers from coming in and letting people in the car park know about the situation.
She said the unexpected closure was “very well organised” and those remaining in the shop already were able to pay before the doors were shut.

The Amersham Tesco on London Road West is usually open until midnight on weekdays.
Another shopper said the Tesco Superstore in Loudwater was also affected by a similar problem alongside the Berkhamsted store.
A Tesco spokesperson said: “We have now fixed a technical issue that briefly impacted some of our stores on the October 10. We are sorry for the inconvenience.”
