A Grade-II listed building set in the Buckinghamshire countryside has been named among the most popular wedding venues among Brits for autumn and winter 2023.
Hedsor House, near Taplow in Buckinghamshire, has many accolades to its name including but not limited to being dubbed a Dream Wedding Venue by Vogue and Tatler and being described by Ricky Gervais as “one of the most beautiful houses I have ever seen”.
The Italianate-style Georgian mansion, which overlooks the River Thames, has acted as a filming location for productions including Downton Abbey and The Golden Compass (2008) as well as hosting the star-studded wedding ceremonies of Sir Elton John’s niece and Victoria Beckham’s brother.

It comes as no surprise, then, that Hedsor has ranked highly in previous tallies of the venues across the UK that generated the most social media buzz – and new research recently released by printing specialist Aura Print has now revealed that it is the seventh-most popular venue among Instagram users preparing to tie the knot this autumn and winter.
Hedsor House managed to rack up 26,000 hashtags on Instagram as of September 26, 2023, with thousands of users planning or dreaming of hosting their special day at the venue.
It was beaten to the top spot by Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire, which received 196,000 hashtags on the social media platform, closely followed by Hampton Court Palace in Surrey, with 181,000.
