Police, fire and ambulance services launched a significant rescue operation to pull what they thought was a person from a lake in Buckinghamshire - but which turned out to be a plastic mannequin instead.
Thames Valley Police was called to Caldecotte Lake in Milton Keynes at 12:27pm on Sunday, October 8, following reports of a body in the water.
A rescue operation was consequently launched alongside a team from Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue and the South-Central Ambulance Service.
It soon turned out, though, that the body in question was not a human one at all but in fact, a mannequin that had presumably been dumped in the water at an earlier date.

A spokesperson for Thames Valley Police said the force was "pleased to confirm that there was no outstanding fear for welfare and no injury to any person" as a result of the incident.
Adding: "Our thanks to those who informed us of the situation and to those who had their walk around the lake disrupted. Caldecotte Lake is now fully open again."
