An adorable muntjac fawn was recently found after the cutting back of a blossoming wildflower meadow.
Chiltern Rangers CIC were cutting back the bank at Bledlow Ridge Recycling Centre when they noticed a fawn.
"We arrived to cut back the bank, intending to foster more wildflowers when we noticed this fawn," reported Head Ranger John.
"We stopped all work and let it be, showcasing how even recycling centres can become havens for wildlife with careful management."
Diverting from the usual bugs, beasts, and birds, this pint-sized visitor became a special find.
John confirmed that it had ventured into adjacent hedgerows and woodlands by the time the site opened after two days.
Although primarily a recycling centre open five days a week, Buckinghamshire Council's site transforms into a wildlife hotspot when closed.
According to the council, despite the site's general hub being unattractive to all creatures, the managed hedges, banks, and trees across the site certainly draw in a broad spectrum of wildlife during calmer periods.
