TWO suspects are on the run after a dramatic police chase through High Wycombe today.

A 24-year-old man has also been taken to hospital with a broken arm after he attempted to evade police officers.

Thames Valley Police said at around 2.15pm on Friday, September 22, they made attempts to stop a car believed to be stolen in High Wycombe. 

A spokesman said: "The driver of the vehicle failed to stop and the occupants of the vehicles fled the vehicle on foot in Desborough Road.

"During the attempt to evade officers, a man sustained a broken arm and has been taken to hospital for treatment."

One man has been arrested while two other offenders are on the run.

Police have been referred to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) due to the man suffering a broken arm.

Adding: "The IOPC will decide in due course the mode of investigation."

The ambulance service confirmed the man involved in the accident is a 24-year-old.

A spokesman from South Central Ambulance Service said: "We have taken a 24-year-old male with a serious arm injury to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford as a result of this incident.

"It’s not clear from our incident log what caused that injury or how this patient was involved in the incident so I’ll leave any further details to our colleagues at TVP who were also at the scene."

It comes after a Mercedes car, which is reportedly stolen, was involved in a police chase. 

Thames Valley Police cordoned off Desborough Road and West End Road whilst they carried out investigations.
