A man has sadly died on the train tracks near a Tube station in Buckinghamshire.
The emergency services were alerted to the Chalfont and Latimer Underground Station on Wednesday September 20 shortly before 7pm after reports of a casualty on the tracks.
Residents reported hearing multiple sirens in the direction and electricity was reportedly switched off momentarily.
British Transport Police said in a statement: “Fire and Paramedics also attended however sadly a man was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file is being prepared for the coroner.”
Trains on the railway line reportedly stopped while the emergency services responded to the tragic incident, which is believed to be a suicide.
Firefighters from Gerrards Cross, High Wycombe and Beaconsfield rushed to Station Approach, where they assisted the British Transport Police, Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service confirmed.
South Central Ambulance Service declined to comment the incident.
