A High Wycombe foodbank has removed references to Russell Brand from its website ahead of a Channel 4 documentary airing this evening.
Russell Brand, who lives in the Marlow area, have been ambassadors for One Can Trust foodbank since 2021.
The High Wycombe food bank, based in Duke Street, provides emergency food parcels to people in crisis in the town as well as Marlow and south Bucks.
Speaking at the time, a spokesperson for One Can Trust said they were "delighted" the pair had agreed to take on the role.
Russell said at the time: "Laura [his wife] and me are really happy to do our small bit to help this fantastic organisation provide much needed help."
But today it appears that One Can Trust has completely removed all references to the comedian on its website.
A Google search show a number of results for Russell's connections to the foodbank - including a video where he volunteered.
One Can Trust has been contacted for comment.
It comes as a documentary is set to air on Channel 4 tonight, regarding Russell Brand.
The comedian launched a defence of himself, denying “very serious allegations” he has claimed are being made against him.
The allegations are purportedly set to be shared in a Dispatches documentary in the UK on Saturday, according to The Independent.
Brand took to his YouTube on Saturday morning to “absolutely refute” the claims which have not been published, before explaining relationships he had when he was “very promiscuous” were “absolutely always consensual”.
“Now, this isn’t the usual type of video we make on this channel where we critique, attack and undermine the news in all its corruption because in this story, I am the news,” he said.
“I’ve received two extremely disturbing letters or a letter and an email. One from a mainstream media TV company, one from a newspaper listing a litany of extremely egregious and aggressive attacks, as well as some pretty stupid stuff like community festival should be stopped, that I shouldn’t be able to attack mainstream media narratives on this channel.”
The 48-year-old has taken a step back from the film and television industry since the pandemic, building a huge following on YouTube.
Brand said he felt as though he is the victim of an attack, referencing articles in the past that have labelled him a “conspiracy theorist” and “right wing”.
