The police have caught speeding drivers in Chesham town centre.

Thames Valley Police conducted enforcement at known speeding hotspots in Chesham during a daytime stint. 

Five drivers were caught on the officer’s speed camera on Friday September 8. 

They were spotted and dealt with on St Mary’s Way and Lye Green Road due to “excess speed,” the force said.

The most recent Neighbourhood Policing survey in July revealed speeding as the top concern for residents in Chesham and the villages by 63 percent.

This was followed by concern over drugs (61 percent) and anti-social behaviour (44 percent).

In Amersham, burglary was the main concern for residents (70 percent of responses), followed by drugs (34 percent) and violence and sexual offences (34 percent).
