A care home that helps vulnerable and needy people in Buckinghamshire could close by the spring of next year.
Leonard Cheshire’s Gerrards Cross branch on Packhorse Road has been in the area since 1988, but the Free Press was notified on September 8 that plans were in place to shut the building down.
The reason for this is not yet known but a consultation period is currently underway and is due to end on October 5 between relatives of the residents.

Ian Peaple, who has been volunteering at the establishment for 35 years, told the BFP: “It’ll probably be turned into flats or houses, so this news will turn the worlds of those living here and their families upside down.
“We’re reeling from it as some were in tears.
“They’re like a family – where are they going to go?
The staff and the residents will be impacted along with their families and the community will suffer hugely from this loss.
“People need to know as people will need to help to find a miracle to save it.
Mark Newton, who has been a resident at the venue since 1997, added: “I came back from holiday to hear the news and I couldn't believe it.
"I was nearly in tears.
"This home means a lot not just to our residents but their friends and family too.

“We’re part of the community and it’s relatively well run.
