A ‘shocking’ video shows a car being set on fire in the early hours of the morning in Buckinghamshire.
A resident, who asked to remain anonymous, shared his CCTV in a bid to try find the culprit behind the terrifying arson on Outfield Road in Chalfont St Peter on Saturday, September 9.
One fire engine and crew from Gerrards Cross rushed to the scene at about 4am, where the car was “well alight and the fire had spread to a fence,” Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service said.
The video shows a loud explosion before flames appear near the bonnet of the car at about 3.54am.
On close inspection of the footage, a shadowy character can be seen and their footsteps heard running away just after they have set off the explosion five seconds into the video.

The car, which belonged to the resident’s mum, was destroyed, he said.
To make matters worse, this is the second time the resident has been targeted in a suspected arson.
