A second showing of vintage films celebrating the anniversary of a Bucks town's railway line had better luck - and hotter weather - than its predecessor.
Residents in Marlow belatedly celebrated the 150th anniversary of the 'Marlow Donkey' railway on Saturday (September 9) after an oversubscription meant that many were turned away from a commemorative vintage film screening held in Liston Hall at the beginning of August.
The Marlow Society chose a different venue, the Royal British Legion, for the repeat showing, where the films were screened throughout the afternoon, allowing visitors to drop in and out at their leisure.

Michael Eagleton, who helped to plan the event, which coincided with National Heritage Day, said the day was a success, owing in part to the air conditioning in the Legion Hall which offered a much-needed refuge on the hottest day of the year.
A large display of rare photographs, including of the former Marlow Station, was also on display in the Hall and the Marlow Ukulele band was on hand to entertain visitors with two performances throughout the afternoon.
Owing to its popularity, the Marlow Society is planning to hold a similar event in the future, exhibiting more vintage footage of the town's history.
