A much-loved discount supermarket might still be coming to a town in Bucks - but at a later date than expected.
German supermarket chain Aldi first announced plans to open a store in the former car dealership on 44 London Road West in Amersham way back in March 2021.
Now, the proposed development, which has been the subject of pushback from environmental authorities for its proximity to the River Misbourne, seems to finally have a firm opening date in mind - subject to planning approval, of course.

Amersham resident Lynda Edwards messaged the store on Instagram today (September 9) asking when the new Aldi in Amersham was expected to open.
After initially repeating previous rhetoric and telling her that the store was due to open its doors in August 2023, a customer service representative clarified that the date had now been changed to June 6, 2024, though remains subject to change.
Do you think the plans for an Aldi in Amersham should go ahead?
