Drivers were warned of very slow traffic on the M40 after a car caught on fire near Lewknor.
The incident was reported at about 5pm today September 4 on the northbound carriageway between J6 B4009 (Watlington) and J7 A329 (Thame).
One lane out of three remains closed.

Delays were also building up on the southbound lane due to onlookers, the traffic service Inrix warned.
Congestion is expected to clear between 5.30pm and 5.45pm, National Highways said.
Thames Valley Police and the fire service were contacted for a comment.
