The father of a 16-year-old who died at a Bucks school said he felt 'simultaneously impressed and flat' after opening his daughter's GCSE results.

Caitlyn Scott-Lee, a Year 11 student at Wycombe Abbey, was found dead on the school premises on April 21, the day before she was due to have her first-ever detention.

Jonathan Scott-Lee, 42, the father of 16-year-old Caitlyn, previously paid tribute to his daughter, whose autism, he said, enabled her to "see the world uniquely".

Mr Scott-Lee told The Telegraph that he had received his daughter's GCSE results last week and was left "simultaneously impressed and flat" upon finding out that she had been awarded 10 GCSEs at grade 7 and above, including grade 9s (A**) in Chinese, Maths and Drama.

He added that while he was grateful to have been made aware of the results, he would "much rather be holding Caitlyn than a piece of paper with grades".

"Sadly, she isn't here to celebrate with us or her friends. She, herself, wanted to achieve the very best and did so."

In April, coroner's officer Annabelle West said the provisional cause of Caitlyn's death given at a post-mortem was hanging.

A full inquest is due to take place at Beaconsfield Coroner's Court later this month (September 14).
