A lorry fire caused long delays on the M25 near Heathrow Airport yesterday.
The trailer of a lorry caught on fire on August 29 shortly after 11am between J15 and J16, generating a large amount of smoke and causing long queues to both directions.
Five fire engines and crews from Buckinghamshire, Berkshire and Hillingdon rushed to the scene along with two officers.
Bucks Fire and Rescue Service said: “An open top articulated trailer, carrying a load of several tonnes of recycling material, was well alight when they arrived.

Traffic service Inrix said the lorry was carrying car batteries.
The fire crews were working at height using ladders, breathing apparatus, a hose reel jet and two main jets to tackle the blaze, which was at the front of the trailer.
“They also used a grab lorry, opened the rear doors of the trailer, and applied water to the load,” Bucks Fire and Rescue Service said.
Thames Valley Police also attended the incident, which lasted several hours into the afternoon.
