Wetherspoons has cancelled its plans for a new pub in a Buckinghamshire high street.
JD Wetherspoons was expected to take over the former Prezzo Italian restaurant building in Beaconsfield New Town on Station Road.
The bar and pub giant put forward plans last year for a £2 million overhaul of the building into a new bar and restaurant with a terrace.
Now the company has revealed the plans will no longer go ahead.
A spokesperson said: “I can confirm that Wetherspoon is today [August 24] putting the Beaconsfield site on the market.

“The company will no longer be developing it into a pub.
“This is a commercial decision undertaken by the company.
“Wetherspoon is still committed to opening in Marlow.”
Last week, Beaconsfield’s mayor Jackson Ng urged Wetherspoons to unveil its intentions so that the “significant site in our town can be properly utilised for the benefit of residents, if necessary by others.”
