A celebrity hairstylist who has worked with Kate Moss and Coldplay is returning to Bucks to foster the next generation of styling talent.
Richard Scorer began his career 38 years ago in Beaconsfield, working for the hair salon Haringtons and quickly found his groove in the company, excelling in ways his dyslexia had made it difficult for him to do in school.
Now, after an impressive career that has seen him work with top names from the worlds of fashion and music, including Kate Moss, Claudia Schiffer and Coldplay, he is headed back to Buckinghamshire to take up the mantle of Creative Director at the company that helped him make his name.
Richard said he was "thrilled" to be returning to his roots and claiming a senior position at Haringtons in Beaconsfield after the "incredible" years he has spent travelling the globe and rubbing elbows with A-listers.

"I am looking forward to having some creative freedom, working with the team on exciting projects and also getting back behind the chair and providing high-quality services to local people."
He is also hoping his success will inspire young people in the area who have become disenchanted with traditional academic career paths.
"Not only does hairdressing pay well as an apprentice, but you learn much more than just cutting and colouring hair.
"It's all about communication, organisation, resilience and creativity. We must do everything we can to encourage young people to consider hairdressing as a legitimate career path."
Alongside its base in Beaconsfield, Haringtons spans eight salons across England including Amersham and Marlow.
