An inquest has opened after the ‘sad’ death of a 19-year-old woman in Buckinghamshire.
Emma Small tragically died on February 4 2023 in Princes Risborough at her home address.
The inquest into her death began on August 15 at Beaconsfield Coroner’s Court after Buckinghamshire’s Senior Coroner Crispin Butler opened the investigation.
Mr Butler identified the interested parties in the “sad death of Emma Small”.
Ms Small’s family and a friend were present at the opening, which is part of the "early stage of evidence gathering," Mr Butler said.
Legal counsels for the family, Buckinghamshire Council, Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust and Hightown Housing Association also attended.
Ms Small was residing at Culverton Court. Hightown Housing Association was linked “to the wider care she was going to receive in the community” while Bucks Council was in charge of the “overall commissioning” of the service and Oxford Healthcare Trust was involved in her mental health care, Mr Butler noted.
The inquest will involve evidence from several services involved in Ms Small’s care, who were given 28 days for disclosure of documents and eight weeks for witness statements before the pre-inquest review continues, Mr Butler said.
The inquest continues.
