Many residents have reacted to the news that the county’s Wilko branches could shut down following its recent administration.
The privately owned firm, which sells a range of items such as plants, sweets, stationery and homeware, has filed a notice of its intention to appoint administrators at the High Court after spending weeks hunting for a rescue deal.
The loss of the super chain could see the loss of around 12,000 jobs.
Branches in Buckinghamshire that could close are in High Wycombe, Aylesbury, Milton Keynes and Bletchley.

Hearing the sad news, many have taken to social media to share their views.
Bekki McClenaghan said: “This will sound awful but most things they sell now can all be found in most supermarkets or DIY shops.
Would you be sad to see it go?

“It’s sad for the staff and jobs that will be lost.”
On the branch that is based in the Chiltern Shopping Centre in High Wycombe, Sarah Hogg-Robinson added: “I’m surprised it’s lasted in there as long as it has.
“The Chiltern Centre used to be great once upon a time as was the High Street and the market.
“The Eden Centre was the nail in the coffin for both and now look at it all - including the Eden Centre!
“I rarely go into town now, there’s nothing to go in for, it’s a ghost of a town now.”

Tina Edwards said: “This is very sad to hear. I go to the one in Aylesbury and the staff are ever so friendly and polite. Will be a shame to see it go. Another big chain bites the dust.”
Czes Inglot said: “The opening of Eden was the demise of The Chilterns and most businesses moving there.
Great memories of the late 80s when you had C&A, Zoo, The Sweet Box, Wallis, Hamells and Next. I'm too old to remember anymore.”
Wilko first started trading in 1930.
