There are plans to have a nationwide supermarket built in a small Buckinghamshire town.
It is believed that a proposal to launch an Aldi store in Olney is set to be approved after a planning application was submitted over 18 months ago.
If given the green light, it is expected to be situated on Warrington Road within the area, with 25 new jobs also being potentially created (10 full-time and 15 part-time).
Employment opportunities will also be created during the supermarket's construction.

Additionally, the proposed store would cover 1,865 square metres and will include 106 car parking spaces - seven parent and child bays, four disabled bays, two click-and-collect bays and four bays with electric charging points.
There is scope for a further 20 electric parking bays to be added in future.
A website describing the proposed moves reads: “Aldi has a presence in other parts of Milton Keynes, however, there are no stores in Olney and this site is an ideal location for a new low-cost, high-quality food store which would give local residents more of a choice when shopping without having to travel out of Olney.
“The site has been designated for employment use in the Neighbourhood Plan and currently has outline planning permission for a new hotel and employment units.
“Whilst a new food store would be classified as retail, rather than employment, Aldi believes a new store would be more beneficial to the community than a hotel.

“The store would provide at least 25 well-paid jobs, which Aldi would seek to recruit locally.
They continued: “Aldi takes its responsibilities to the community and the planet seriously.
“Our corporate responsibility plan is driven by five principles - community, people, customers, suppliers, and environment.
“When building our new stores we ensure they are as sustainable as possible.”
There are currently eight Aldi branches in Buckinghamshire with the outlets being in Aylesbury, High Wycombe and Milton Keynes respectively.
