A Buckinghamshire restaurant is in line for a chance to win the award for best Turkish takeaway. 

Mangal Express Chalfont in Little Chalfont has been shortlisted in this year’s Turkish Restaurant and Takeaway Awards (Turta).

The restaurant at Nightingales Corner was named in the shortlist for the best regional takeaway award.

Now the nominations have opened for foodies to vote their favourite Turkish food in Britain.

Turta said on social media they were “thrilled” to open nominations for the “highly anticipated” awards.

“This is your chance to recognize and nominate your favorite restaurants, chefs, and establishments that have left a lasting impression on your taste buds and dining experiences,” they said.

The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony at Sheraton Park Lane on November 5.

Tickets for the ceremony went also up on sale with standard tickets starting from £144.
