Construction is almost complete on a new play area in Marlow's Higginson Park ahead of a planned opening date next week.
Work to construct a new adventure play area in Higginson Park officially began in June after Buckinghamshire Council secured funding to refurbish the area late last year due to "heavy wear" on some of the equipment.
The playground's completion date was originally slated for Monday, July 24, but a representative from the council has now confirmed it will be open to the public on the week commencing July 31.
In new photos obtained by the Bucks Free Press, the play area's ongoing construction can be seen to be entering its final stages.
Apparatus including a large multi-play ship unit, a jumper trampoline and two swing seats can be spotted coming together in the photos.
Alongside offering a diverse range of equipment including a wheelchair accessible roundabout, the playground is also set to feature several items crafted from recycled materials.
Clive Harriss, cabinet member for culture and leisure, acknowledged that the area was an "extremely popular" spot for local families and said the council was committed to providing a "secure environment for children of all ages and abilities to explore, learn and have fun".
