An inclusive event celebrating people in the LGBTQIA+ community is set to return next month.
This year’s Wycombe Pride has transformed from a one-day event into a full weekend celebration, taking place from August 18th to 20th.
With five official venues and a range of events, organisers say there is something for everyone to enjoy.
The festivities will kick off with Pride-themed TED-style talks and cabaret at various locations in High Wycombe town centre.
O'Neill's on Paul's Row will be hosting talks and a raffle, while Sosh Club in Frogmoor will light up with a Pride disco.
Mad Squirrel will be showing Pride movies, and Flint Cottage on Amersham Hill will host a Disney-themed pub quiz, bingo, and an end of Pride party.
Mental health will receive a strong focus throughout the weekend, with talks on the subject and representation from Bucks Talking Therapies.
The Front Room Cafe on Castle Street will also make history as the first designated youth and family venue for Wycombe Pride.
On Saturday, August 19, the cafe will offer free seated massages, creative workshops, and a family-friendly drag act.
The main event, the Wycombe Pride march, will take place on Saturday, August 19.
Participants will gather at Frogmoor at 1.30pm, then parade through the town center, concluding at Paul's Row.
Pride stalls featuring various local organisations, including the Bucks Free Press and Wycombe Sound radio, will line the streets.
For those looking to plan their Pride weekend experience, pride guides can be obtained from participating venues as well as various locations in the town, such as Merletto Lounge, Pladis UK, Spirit Hair Company, Wycombe Swan Theatre, and Ruby Moon.
These guides can also be exchanged for exclusive Wycombe Pride merchandise at any of the five official venues.
Wycombe Pride is a non-profit group, and all funds raised will contribute towards future events and support their chosen charity, Mermaids.
Mermaids offers support for trans, non-binary, and gender-diverse children and their families.
For more information, individuals can visit the Wycombe Pride social media channels on Facebook and Instagram, or find information on the town's Pride posters scattered throughout the area.
