A DRIVER has been fined after being caught using their mobile phone.

Robert Sak, of Windsor Road, Gerrards Cross, was caught on September 2 last year using a hand-held mobile telephone.

The 56-year-old was caught on the A40 Western Avenue in his Ford Transit using the device.

He pleaded guilty at Ealing Magistrates Court and on July 12 he was fined £54.

Sak was also ordered to pay £300 in court courts and a victim surcharge of £22.

His driving licence was also endorsed with six penalty points.

The total fine Sak needed to pay was £376.
