THREE drivers have faced fines and disqualifications across Buckinghamshire recently due to breaking an important driving law.

After being caught on various types of speeding cameras and systems, some faced fines while others faced disqualifications.

Here are the three drivers who have been in magistrates court recently for breaking speed limits.

A WOMAN has been fined after being caught speeding on an automatic speed camera.

Eleanor Silvester, of Finings Road, Lane End, Buckinghamshire, was caught on December 31 last year exceeding a 30mph speed limit.

The 52-year-old was caught on the A306 driving at 36mph on a RedSpeed SpeedCurb speeding camera.

Her speed limit was signified by street lighting placed at less than 200-yard intervals. 

At Bromley Magistrates Court on July 6, Silvester pleaded guilty to the offence and was fined £72.

She was also ordered to be a £28 victim surcharge and her driving licence was endorsed with three penalty points.

The total fine was £100 to be paid by August.

A DRIVER has been disqualified and fined after being caught speeding eight miles over the speed limit in London.

Hayden Hunt, of Peel Close in Denham, was caught on October 21 last year exceeding the 30mph limit on the A40 near Shepherds Bush.

The 36-year-old was caught on a Siemens SafeZone system driving 38mph in a Ford vehicle.

At Willesden Magistrates Court on July 6, Hunt pleaded guilty to the offence and was fined £153. They were also disqualified from driving for six months due to repeat offending.

The driving licence was also be endorsed and Hunt was additionally made to pay £90 in court costs and a victim surcharge of £61.

The total fine is £304 to be paid by August.

A MAN has been fined over £600 after being caught speeding only five miles over the limit.

Andrew Townsend, of Glade Road, Marlow, was caught on December 30 last year speeding on the A40 near Shepherds Bush in London.

The 53-year-old was recorded driving at 35mph on a Siemens SafeZone system in a 30mph zone in his BMW.

At Bromley Magistrates Court on July 6, Townsend pleaded guilty to speeding and was fined £400.

He was also ordered to pay £100 in court costs and a £160 victim surcharge.

Additionally, Townsend’s driving licence was also endorsed with three penalty points.

The total fine is £660 to be paid by the start of August.
