The trailer for Ridley Scott’s new blockbuster film full of Buckinghamshire locations has been revealed.
The new Napoleon film directed by Ridley Scott was filmed across Buckinghamshire locations last year.
The historical drama movie starring Joker actor Joaquin Phoenix as Napoleon Bonaparte tells the French emperor’s rise to power and his relationship with Empress Josephine (Vanessa Kirby).
Ahead of the UK premier on November 22, the film’s makers have now released an action-packed trailer of the film, which was rumoured to have cost a whopping $130 million (£100 million) to produce.
Here are the Buckinghamshire locations eagle-eyed viewers can spot in the new film.
West Wycombe Park
Film crews were spotted using the historical estate in early March last year.
A large white marquee, lights, generators, trucks and construction vehicles were seen set up, while pink signs showed directions for horses, technical and catering teams.
A source in the film industry who didn’t want to be named confirmed to the Free Press at the time they were filming Napoleon.
Stowe Avenue and House
Filming took place in Buckingham on April 4-7 last year.
SDTA Productions had reportedly asked Buckinghamshire Council for a road closure on Stowe Avenue.
The production company was hoping to “shoot an exterior scene” on the avenue before reinstating the road “in the same condition we find it,” a letter from SDTA Productions said.
Napoleon is expected to earn around $500 million at the box office.
