POLICE are investigating an incident of dangerous driving after a BMW car crashed on the M40 motorway.
A black BMW 1 series was seen driving on the exit slip road at junction 3 from Beaconsfield towards High Wycombe when it crashed into the nearside barrier.
Then the car collided into the central barrier causing it to roll in the road blocking the motorway.
The crash happened just before 9pm.
Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses and dash-cam footage as the occupants of the car then left the scene and have not been found.
Investigating officer PC Mike Mayer-Smith of the Roads Policing Unit based at Amersham, said: “I’m appealing to any witnesses of this collision to please get in touch with Thames Valley Police.
“I’m particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have dash-cam of the incident to please check this and contact us.
