The husband of a paedophile teacher who sexually abused a 15-year-old student has reportedly ended their relationship and moved on with a new girlfriend.

Kandice Barber, 36, of Wendover, Aylesbury, was sentenced to six years and two months in prison in March 2021 for grooming and having sex with the boy.

During the trial, Barber's husband Daniel had vowed to stand by her side, referring to her as his "rock." However, it has now been revealed that the couple split in the months that followed.

Barber was found guilty of taking the student to a field, kissing him on the neck, and engaging in sexual relations with him.

She also threatened to falsely accuse him of rape if he reported her.

The prosecutor summarized a victim's statement, in which he expressed that Barber, who was supposed to guide him in making the right decisions, instead led him astray.

In March 2021, Barber was sentenced at Aylesbury Crown Court, with the judge describing her actions as a "gross breach of trust" and "beyond despicable." The victim expressed stress and anxiety, as well as concerns for the well-being of his family and friends, who also suffered from the ordeal.

He believed that his GCSE results were negatively impacted due to the traumatic experience.

Barber had added herself to the victim's Snapchat account, engaging in sexual conversations and sharing explicit images and videos.

The judge noted that all these acts were part of a calculated plan to groom the boy.

Following her sentencing, Daniel had posted a tribute to Barber on social media, emphasizing his commitment to her.

However, photos have now emerged showing Daniel appearing happy with a new girlfriend by his side.

According to Mail Online, the couple has been dating for months and plans to start a family together.

It is reported that Daniel has moved out of the family home where he previously resided with Barber.

Barber's sentencing highlighted the devastating impact of her actions on the victim and his education.

The prosecution argued that his GCSE results were adversely affected due to the emotional turmoil he experienced as a result of the abuse.

The case serves as a reminder of the importance of safeguarding children and the need for individuals in positions of trust to act responsibly.

The judge condemned Barber for breaching the trust placed in her and manipulating the vulnerable student for her own gratification.

As the story unfolds, the details surrounding the split between Barber and her husband become clearer.

However, the focus remains on the severe consequences of her actions, which have left a lasting impact on the victim and those close to him.
