DOZENS of schools are closed or partially closed in Bucks today due to teachers going on strike.
Children and parents face more disruption as teachers across England strike again in a long-running dispute over pay.
Sports days, school trips and transition days for pupils are set to be disrupted as a result of the walkouts by teacher members of the National Education Union (NEU), with another day of action planned for Friday.
It is the seventh day individual schools in England have faced walkouts by NEU teacher members this year.
The schools below are set to be closed or partially closed today (July 5), but parents should check with their child's school for full details.
It is thought that lots more schools are affected today but don't post details on the Norfolk County Council closures website.
Abbey View Primary Academy - Year 1 is closed today due to Industrial action by the NEU.
Aston Clinton School - Partially closed
Aylesbury High School (Girls) - Moved to remote learning – specific pupil groups only- School has moved to remote learning for specific pupil groups only due to industrial action by the National Education Union (NEU)

Chepping View Primary Academy - Partially closed - specific circumstances. The following classes/groups only are affected due to industrial action by the National Education Union and should not come into school on this date: 1S, 2S, Year 3, Year 5, Year 6. All other pupil classes/groups will still run as normal. We will return to normal operations on Thursday and apologise for any inconvenience caused.
Chiltern Way Academy - Our Bierton campus and Prestwood campus are fully open. Our Wendover Campus is partially open, including all identified children and children of key workers. Our Wokingham campus is fully open. We apologise for any inconvenience caused
Chiltern Wood Special School (Day/Boarding) - Partially closed - specific circumstances. Pupils who have been asked to stay at home due to industrial action by teachers in the NEU have been notified.
The Cottesloe School - The Cottesloe School will move to remote online learning for Years 7, 8, 9 and 10. School will be open to Year 6 transition students and Year 12 students only. Pre-arranged in-school provision will also be provided for some SEND and vulnerable students and some children of critical workers. Students should log in to Google Classroom for each lesson at the normal time
Cressex Community School - school will be open for all students in Years 7, 10, 12 & 13. Year 8 & Year 9 will be working from home with work posted on SMHW- more details to follow. School will also be open for children of critical workers and vulnerable children (those who have an Education, Health, and Care Plan and those who are supported by a social worker). All students who are eligible for free school meals, can attend school between 12-12.45pm to have a hot meal.
Dorney - Closed due to specific circumstances. Dorney School will be closed on this date because of industrial action by the National Education Union (NEU). No classes will run today. We will return to normal operations on Thursday 6th July and apologise for any inconvenience caused.
Dropmore Infant School - Year 1 only is affected due to industrial action by the National Education Union and should not come into school on this date. Furze Down School - School will be closed on these dates because of industrial action by the National Education Union (NEU). We will be providing support on site for vulnerable and key worker pupils. We will return to normal operations on 6th July and apologise for any inconvenience caused.
The Grange School - The Grange School has moved to remote learning for specific student groups only due to industrial action by the National Education Union (NEU). Years 7, 8, and 9 are affected and will need to work remotely from home. The school will run as normal for Years 10 and 12, as well as proceeding with existing plans for Year 6 Transition Day. We will return to normal operations on Thursday 6th July and apologise for any inconvenience caused
Heritage House School - Partially closed - specific circumstances. One class is partially affected due to the industrial action by the National Education Union. *Important - we have notified those affected. High Wycombe Church of England Combined School - High Wycombe Church Of England School has moved to remote learning for specific pupil groups only due to Industrial Action by the National Education Union (NEU). The following classes will be affected and will need to work remotely from home - 2 , 4 and 6. Year 3 will be in school for the morning only and should be collected at 1pm. All other classes will still run as normal and individual vulnerable children will also be invited in.
Highcrest Academy - Partially closed - specific circumstances. Moved to remote learning – specific pupil groups only - Year 7, Year 8 and Year 9. The academy has moved to remote learning for specific pupil groups only due to industrial action by the National Education Union (NEU).
Highworth Combined School and Nursery - Partially closed - specific circumstances. – The following classes are affected due to industrial action by the National Education Union and will be closed to all pupils on this date: Nursery; RC; RAA; 3DN; 3CN; 4M; 4C; 5K; 5S; 6S; 6K The following classes will still run as normal: 1H; 1PD; 2S; 2M.
Holtspur School - Year 2 only is affected due to industrial action by the National Education Union and children should not come into school on this date. All other classes will run as normal. We will return to normal operations on Thursday 6th July.
Hughenden Primary School - Partially closed due to specific circumstances – Foundation, Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6 classes only are affected due to industrial action by the National Education Union and should not come into school on this date. John Hampden School, Wendover - Partially closed due to specific circumstances – The following classes only are affected due to industrial action by the National Education Union and should not come into school on this date: Honeybees, Caterpillars, Ladybirds, Herons and Firecrests. Herons and Firecrests may return at 12 noon on 5th July as they have different teachers in the afternoon. Please contact the school directly regarding provision for vulnerable children or children of critical NHS/emergency service workers , although our capacity is severely limited due to other staffing issues. All other pupil classes and our Out of School Care provision will still run as normal. We will return to normal operations on Thursday 6th July and apologise for any inconvenience caused.
Lane End Primary School - Partially closed - specific circumstances. Please refer to the school ping sent out to all parents/carers on Friday 30th June regarding the classes affected by NEU Industrial action. We will return to normal operations on Thursday 6th July.
Little Kingshill Combined School - Years 3,4&5 will be closed on Wednesday 5th July, due to the planned strike action by members of the NEU teaching union. Parents of vulnerable pupils and key workers have been notified that their children will be provided with childcare by the school on this day if they require a space.
Manor Farm Community Infant School - The following classes only are affected due to industrial action by the National Education Union and should not come into school on this date: Larch (morning only) and Chestnut and Ash (all day)
Manor Farm Community Junior School - Partially closed - School Closed for year 3. Open for years 4, 5 & 6.
The Misbourne School - Due to industrial action, The Misbourne will be partially closed, with only Year 10 attending. Other year groups (7, 8 and 9) should remain at home and move to remote learning online for the day, with work set via google classroom. Radnage C of E Nursery - The following classes/groups only are affected due to industrial action by the National Education Union and should not come into school on this date: Reception, Year 1/2, Year 3/4 and Year 5/6 children not participating in Bikeability. Sir William Ramsay School - Sir William Ramsay School has moved to remote learning for specific pupil groups only due to industrial action by the National Education Union (NEU). Years 7 to 10 are affected and will need to work remotely from home .
St Joseph's Catholic Primary School - Partially closed - specific circumstances. The following classes (Class 1B/ Class 3F/ Class 5G) only are affected due to industrial action by the National Education Union and should not come into school on this date. Stokenchurch Primary School - Only the classes notified to parents are affected due to industrial action by the National Education Union and should not come into school on this date. All other pupil classes will still run as normal. We will return to normal operations on Thursday 6th July and apologise for any inconvenience caused.
Waddesdon Church of England School - Wednesday, 5th July - students in Years 6, 8 & 12 will be taught in school. Students in other year groups will be set remote learning if their teacher is not involved in the industrial action.
Wooburn Green Primary School - Partially closed - specific circumstances. The following groups are affected due to industrial action by the National Education Union (NEU) and should not come into school on this date. All other classes will run as normal. We will return to normal operation on Thursday 6th July 2023 and apologise for any inconvenience caused. On Wednesday 5th July 2023, we will be closed to Y1, Y3, Y4, Y5/6. We remain open to Pre-School, YR and Y2. We have a childcare/critical worker provision and if you need this for the affected year groups. Please contact the main school office to access this provision.
Wycombe High School (Girls) - Wycombe High School has moved to remote learning for specific pupil groups only due to industrial action by the National Education Union (NEU). The school site will be closed to students in Year 12. There will be online provision for these students. The school will be open for students in Years 7,8,9,10 and vulnerable/children of critical care workers in any year group. We will return to normal operations on Thursday 6 July and apologise for any inconvenience caused.
