A 32-year-old man has been charged with assault in Milton Keynes.

Liam Wiggins, of no fixed abode, was charged on June 15 with one count each of Section 18 grievous bodily harm with intent, assaulting a person thereby occasioning them actual bodily harm, criminal damage and wound/inflicting grievous bodily harm without intent.

This is in relation to an incident that happened on May 10 this year, when a woman in her 20s was attacked at an address in Bradville at around 11pm.

The woman suffered a broken cheekbone and nose, which required treatment at Milton Keynes University Hospital.

She has since been discharged.

Wiggins was also charged with one count each of common assault of an emergency worker, racially/religiously aggravated intentional harassment/alarm/distress – words/writing, assault by beating of an emergency worker and obstructing/resisting a constable in the execution of their duty.

He was remanded in custody and appeared at Milton Keynes Magistrates’ Court on June 16, where he was further remanded in custody.

He is due to appear at Aylesbury Crown Court on July 19.
