A NUMBER of defendants across Buckinghamshire have been convicted or jailed this month.

Here are some of the people who have been in court throughout June:

A RAPIST has been found guilty after forcing himself on a woman earlier this year.

Marcus Taylor, 43, of Lingfield Close, High Wycombe, was convicted by majority jury of one count each of rape, sexual assault by penetration, and sexual assault following a trial at Amersham Crown Court, which concluded on Monday (June 19).

The court heard that Taylor went to the address of a woman this year in Buckinghamshire. While there, he forced himself upon his victim, raping her and sexually assaulting her.

He will now be sentenced at the same court on August 10.

A SLOUGH man has been jailed for six years after assaulting his colleague in Taplow.   

Muhammad Adnan, 29, of The Normans, pulled a large kitchen knife on his colleague at the Shell Garage in Bath Road and tried to stab him multiple times.

He was jailed for six years on Monday (June 19) after a trial at Amersham Law Court.  A jury unanimously found Adnan guilty of one count of section 18, grievous bodily harm with intent and one count of common assault.

A RAPIST been jailed for eight years after being found guilty of raping a woman after a night out.

Craig Burnikell, 26, of St Dunstans, Coffee Hall, was sentenced on Tuesday, June 13 at Aylesbury Crown Court after being found guilty by a majority jury verdict of one count of rape, following a four-day trial.

On December 13, 2019, the victim was out in Milton Keynes with friends. The victim and Burnikell shared a taxi to Burnikell’s house, when the victim realised she had lost her belongings, so stayed the night.

The victim fell asleep and woke up as Burnikell raped her.

A MAN has been jailed for over three years for sexually assaulting a woman in her 80s on two separate occasions in High Wycombe.

Paul Herbert, 43, of Plym Close in Aylesbury was found guilty by a unanimous jury on two counts of sexual assault by touching following a three-day trial at Aylesbury Crown Court, ending on May 24.

The court heard that Herbert sexually assaulted a woman in her 80s near High Wycombe on two separate occasions during the summer of 2017.

He was jailed for three years and four months yesterday and was made subject to a sexual harm prevention order.

TWO men have been jailed after a man was repeatedly attacked, robbed and "left for dead" in freezing temperatures.

Brandon Hedges, 24 and David Wright, 42, both of no fixed abode, were involved in robberies where they attacked two separate victims in the early hours of January 16, 2022.

They were each subsequently sentenced to eight years and one month in prison.
