The RSPCA is searching for a forever home for a dog who was 'scared of everything' after being abused by previous owners.
Before being rescued by the RSPCA, Bluey was kept outdoors in unsuitable conditions and was beaten and verbally abused.
The mistreatment meant that she was scared of everything, particularly inanimate objects being held by people, when she arrived at the Blackberry Farm RSPCA centre in Waddesdon, Aylesbury.
However, after working with a team of behavioural experts, she has grown in confidence and begun to feel more secure in her surroundings.
Laura Atkins, animal care assistant at Blackberry, said: "She found being here quite scary to begin with. She found coming into our care frightening and often barked at people she didn't know.
"But she's come a long way - once you earn her trust, she'll become your best friend and enjoys a fuss, a cheeky treat and a play.
"She has found being in a crate really safe and will relax while she's in there so this will be a must in her new home, as having a crate is Bluey's safe space."
Although she has grown in confidence, Bluey is still nervous in some situations so needs owners who will be patient as she transitions into her forever home.
The RSPCA said that despite bonding with some other dogs at the Aylesbury centre, Bluey can find meeting new animals overwhelming, especially if they are overexcited.
She can be rehomed with children aged over 16 and could live alongside a calm, neutered male dog.
She won't be able to be homed with cats or small animals.
If you're interested in applying to adopt Bluey, you can email the centre at blackberryfarm@rspca.org.uk.
