A MOTHER has been jailed for five years after killing her five-week-old son with an overdose of paracetamol in Buckingham.
Ellie Jacobs, 19, admitted manslaughter after crushed paracetamol pills were added to her son Archie's bottle. He died on June, 5 2020.
Jacobs was sentenced at Luton Crown Court today (May 24) to five years in prison.

She gave birth to Archie when she was living on a caravan site at Biddlesden, near Buckingham, on April 28, 2020, when she was 16 years old.
Jacobs had denied charges of murder and child cruelty at the start of her trial at the same court earlier this month but her guilty plea to manslaughter was accepted by the Crown Prosecution Service.
The court previously heard that Jacobs' partner had moved out just before Archie's birth and the baby had been placed on a Child Protection Plan.
Jacob’s mother Sarah had been living on the caravan site and supported her daughter but she was sadly killed in a road crash on 10 May 2020.

Detective Chief Inspector Will Crowther, of Bedfordshire Police's major crime unit, said it was ‘very sad case’ but added that he was pleased Jacobs accepted responsibility for causing Archie's death.
