The M40 was hit by long delays after another incident on the motorway yesterday.
Drivers faced an hour long wait after a car caught on fire on the hard shoulder of the northbound carriageway yesterday (May 23) during afternoon rush hour.
The fire service has commented the M40 blaze, which closed two lanes out of four between Beaconsfield and M25 junction 1A.
The car was “100 percent damaged” in the blaze, Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service confirmed.

Three fire engines and crews from Beaconsfield, Gerrards Cross and High Wycombe attended the scene with assistance from the police and Highways teams.
A carriageway closure was in place until the incident was cleared and all lanes were opened.
