The police have made a fourth arrest after a woman in her 20s ‘tragically’ died in the M40 crash.
She sadly died of her injuries at the scene after a smash between a blue Volkswagen Golf and a white Ford Transit (tipper) near Beaconsfield yesterday (May 22).
The fatal smash happened between junctions 2 and 3 on the northbound carriageway shortly after 12noon.
Yesterday the police arrested a 35-year-old man, a 32-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman, all from Carshalton, Surrey.
The 20-year-old woman has now been released under investigation, and the two others have been released on bail, a Thames Valley Police spokesperson confirmed.
A police spokesperson said: “A further arrest, a 23-year-old man from Mitcham, Surrey, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
