Several catalytic converters have been stolen in South Buckinghamshire in recent days.
Thames Valley Police confirmed that thieves had been hitting areas of Naphill and Hughenden Valley, and following the spate of thefts, the authorities have put out a list to avoid any more being taken.

These tips include:
- Parking your car in a locked garage but if this is not possible, then in a well-lit/populated area
- Park your car with the back facing walls and fences so there is less room for the thieves to move around
- Avoid parking on half of the road and half of the pavement as it makes access to the exhaust easier
- Park next to other cars and keep the bonnet facing the wall as if someone were to steal the converter, it will be easier for the thief to be caught
- Get your converter bolted on as it will be harder to take off
