DRAMATIC pictures show traffic at a standstill on the M40 whilst police deal with an incident.
Thames Valley Police are dealing with a serious crash on the motorway between Junction 2 and 4.
Vehicles have been brought to a standstill while emergency services deal with the incident. Lanes 4 (of 4) are closed on the southbound carriageway too.

Thames Valley Police said: "The M40 from junction 2 to 4 northbound is currently closed due to a serious road traffic collision.
"It is likely to remain closed for several hours. Please avoid the area and take alternative routes. Updates to follow later."
