A crash on the Handy Cross roundabout has left a man with life threatening injuries.
Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following a crash on the A404 Handy Cross roundabout junction 4 exit at around 11:45am on Friday May 19.
The collision involved a silver Ford Focus and a black Volvo. The driver of the Ford Focus, a man in his 40s, sustained life threatening injuries and remains in a critical but stable condition in hospital.
The driver of the Volvo, a man in his 70s, sustained serious but not life-threatening, injuries and has now been discharged from hospital.
PC Thom Piercy of the Roads Policing Unit, based at Amersham, said: “I am appealing for anybody who was driving along the M40 from junction 1 towards junction 4 who witnessed the driving of the Ford Focus, a 58 plate, to please get in touch with Thames Valley Police.
“I am also keen to hear from anybody who may have witnessed the collision or who may have dash-cam to please get in touch with us if it has captured anything that could assist my investigation.
