A celebrity cricket match took place in Marlow this afternoon [May 19], to help raise funds for those battling food poverty.
Former BBC Radio 2 presenter Chris Evans, and celebrity chef Tom Kerridge, were the captains for the fixture which took place at Higginson Park – the same location as the latter’s Pub in the Park music festival which began this week.
Other big names such as ex-cricketer and Marlow resident Sir Andrew Strauss, entrepreneur and TV personality, Peter Jones, and former Liverpool and Newcastle United striker, Andy Carroll (who is currently at Reading), were just some celebrities who took part.
All the money raised will go to the Meals for Marlow initiative, which £19,000 being raised in the aim of their £30,000 goal.
