A resident said they are 'really upset' after being scammed out of £80 by a fake ticket reseller.
A Marlow resident who wanted to remain anonymous said they had sent £80 to a woman on Facebook who was advertising two tickets for Saturday night of Tom Kerridge's Pub in the Park festival, which takes place in Higginson Park this weekend.
In Facebook messages sent on Wednesday, May 17, the resident asked the seller: "are you sending the tickets now?" to which they replied, "yes, will let you know when I am done".
However the seller then stopped responding to messages, prompting the buyer to write: "would you be able to send it soon?" followed by several question marks.
A notification then appeared in the chat showing that the seller had blocked them on Facebook.
The resident said: "We're really upset. We had been so excited to get tickets for Saturday night and the reseller's Facebook page looked very legitimate.
"Please be careful when you see people advertising tickets. It's sad how people take advantage of others like this."

Brand Events, the team behind Pub in the Park were alerted to the incident and are working to suspend the seller from advertising on their resale pages.
They also provided the victims of the scam with two tickets for Saturday night of the festival at no extra cost.
Event organisers released a statement yesterday (May 17) urging others to be wary of secondhand ticket sellers ahead of the event which kicks off tonight (May 18) and will continue over the weekend.
The statement said: "Please be aware that scammers are pretending to sell tickets for Saturday night at Pub in the Park, Marlow. Please ensure that you're purchasing tickets from a trusted source."
Pub in the Park Marlow will take place in Higginson Park from Thursday May 18 to Sunday May 21.
Tom Kerridge's annual food and music event is set to include performances from The Sugababes and Clean Bandit and cooking demonstrations from a number of acclaimed chefs and restaurants.
