Two people have been arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of a 17-year-old boy in High Wycombe.

In the evening of Sunday, May 7 at around 7.30pm, officers were called to Easton Street within the town following reports of a stabbing.

The authorities attended along with the ambulance service but sadly, the teenager was pronounced dead at the scene.

He has yet to be formally identified.

Another boy, also aged 17, was wounded and has been taken to hospital.

His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Since then, two men, who are aged 49 and 29 respectively, have been arrested on suspicion of murder and are currently being held in custody.

The police have confirmed that they are both from High Wycombe.

Senior investigating officer, Detective Superintendent Kevin Brown, head of the Thames Valley Police Major Crime Unit, said: “Our investigation into this tragic incident continues at pace, and we have now made two arrests.

“I would like to reiterate my appeal for anyone who was in the area of Easton Street between 6.45pm and 7.30pm on Sunday evening (7/5) to come forward.
