Residents of a Bucks village were treated to a royal visit at a coronation street party held this afternoon (May 7).
Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, the daughters of Prince Andrew, Duke of York, made an appearance at the Chalfont St Giles coronation celebration lunch after their uncle was crowned king yesterday.
According to one guest at the celebration, who met the two members of the royal family, they said they were tired but had enjoyed the coronation service yesterday and were looking forward to the celebratory concert in Windsor tonight.
Another partygoer said he had spoken to Princess Eugenie at the event and described her as "so kind".
One person had travelled all the way from Norwich to enjoy the sunny party with their friends and said it had been a "brilliant" day.
"The princesses were lovely, I even managed to get a selfie with them! It's been great, it makes you proud to be British!"
Festivities have been taking place across Buckinghamshire after several street parties had to be cancelled yesterday (May 6) due to bad weather.
People made the most of the sun today, however, with plenty of dressing up, sharing food and drink and celebrating of the historic day with their family and friends.
