Lucky students in Bucks have won tours around Pinewood Studios for their winning entries in a crown designing competition.
Future crown jewellers in primary and secondary schools across Buckinghamshire competed on Thursday (May 4) in the finals of a coronation crown designing competition, judged by TV presenter Lorraine Kelly.
Winners of the contest, which was judged on the wearability, regality and complexity of the designs, were primary students at Lent Rise School in Burnham and secondary students at Heritage House School in Chesham.
Creators of the winning entries were presented with £150, a goody bag from LucasFilm, the production company behind Star Wars, and a tour around Pinewood Film Studios in Iver.
Finalists at Hamilton Academy in High Wycombe, Amersham School and Woodside Junior School in Amersham also received £20 each for their creative efforts.
Joseph Baum, cabinet member for education and skills at Bucks Council, said: “It was a wonderful afternoon spent talking to the children from all parts of Buckinghamshire about their fantastic crowns.
“The work they put in was outstanding. We were so impressed with the quality of the crowns produced and it was very difficult to decide on the winners. Congratulations to all the children who took part.”
Alongside Buckinghamshire Swan Envoy Lorraine Kelly, the entries were judged by Lady Elizabeth Curzon, Chairman of Bucks Council Dev Dhillon and Director of Physical Production at Lucasfilm, Adam Teeuw.
The winning crowns will now tour around Buckinghamshire Libraries with coronation banners for residents all over the county to appreciate.
