Plans for a live screening of the King's coronation have been cancelled amid expected bad weather.
Marlow Town Council has announced that the dual Party like a King and May Fayre celebrations set to take place in Higginson Park today (May 6) have been cancelled due to bad weather.
The event, which would have included a live broadcast from Westminster Abbey, music from the Marlow Town Band, a King's Throne selfie tent and a duck race, will no longer take place.
A representative from the Town Council called it "such disappointing news" but said the event's crown competition would still go ahead in an alternative location.
Schoolchildren who have designed environmentally-inspired crowns in tribute to the new king can bring their entries to the Shelley Theatre at the Court Garden Leisure Complex between 10am and 2pm today, to be judged by the mayor and his fellow councillors.
Prize winners will be informed of the competition's results after 4pm.
