Residents are getting ready to enjoy a long weekend of royal celebration during the Coronation.
Millions of people up and down Britain will be making the most of the long weekend thanks to the Coronation of Charles and Camilla on Saturday May 6 in Westminster Abbey with street parties and events for all ages.
Residents will be crossing their fingers for plenty of sunshine and dry weather during the Coronation weekend.
Here are the Coronation parties and events happening in Chesham, Amersham and the Chalfonts where everyone is welcome.
Chesham
Chesham High Street Coronation Party
The Chesham Town Council is inviting all residents for the big celebration on Sunday May 7 on High Street.
Between 12noon and 6pm partygoers will be entertained by live music and performances, market and food stalls, fairground rides, stalls and games on High Street and Market Square.
Coronation live at The Elgiva
On Saturday May 6, The Elgiva Theatre is hosting a chance to watch the Coronation ceremony live from Westminster Abbey from 10am.
There will also be a free crafting workshop for children hosted by Creative Hearts.

Coronation Crown Craft
Chesham Library on Elgiva Lane hosts a free crown craft session and King-themed storytelling on Saturday May 6 from 10am to 12noon.
Amersham
Memorial Gardens Coronation Party
The Memorial Gardens and Church Mead in Old Amersham will host music and food stalls on Sunday May 7 from 3.30pm until 7pm just off The Broadway.
Music includes a live 1940s style swing trio The Polka Dots and other music throughout the day.
A spokesperson from Cooper’s Markets told what visitors could expect at the festivities: “We’re having a mini festival in Church Mead.
“We have hot food, street food like burgers and bao buns, sweet food and a vintage van doing fizz, cider and wine and a local musician, face paint for kids and hay bales for kids to sit on.”
St Michael and All Angels Coronation church service and tea
The church on Sycamore Road in Amersham-on-the-Hill will hold a service on Sunday May 7 at 10am on St Michael’s Square.
There will be tea, coffee and cake afterwards.
Chalfont St Giles
Chalfont St Giles Coronation village party
Around 2,000 people are expected to join the special village show on Saturday May 7, which is usually held in September.
From 12noon to 6pm, the village High Street will boast music, entertainment, a BBQ, pop up bars, face painting and fairground rider for children.
Chalfont St Peter
Coronation celebration
Everyone is welcome to the Coronation party in St Peter’s Memorial Garden on Church Lane on Saturday May 6 from 3pm.
The Parish Council- hosted party offers afternoon teas, ice cream, candy floss and giveaway goodies for the young party-goers.
