A play area in Buckinghamshire has gone through a £45,000 makeover.
The look of the new playground in Chesham’s Nashleigh Hill was revealed on April 25 following a refurbishment.
The makeover comes after a long wait for families in the area, including a mum who had waited for the swings to be replaced since they were removed for safety in the summer of 2021.
“Chesham Town Council are pleased to announce the new play area at Nashleigh Hill Recreation Ground is now complete and open to the public,” the Town Council spokesperson said.

“The Council have worked with local residents to identify the new equipment required and a further phase of work shall be completed once further funds become available,” they added.
Funding for the play area came from Chesham Town Council and the Chesham and Villages Community Board.
It is part of the Council’s “on-going commitment to improving play areas in the town.”
