A new 'bigger and better' play area will be installed in a Bucks park ahead of the school summer holidays.
Marlow residents have speculated about planned refurbishments to the playground in Higginson Park since Bucks Council secured funding to upgrade the area last October.
The council has now revealed its plans for a "bigger, better and more inclusive" play area that is set to be unveiled ahead of school summer holidays.
New amenities will include a large multi-play ship unit, a wheelchair accessible roundabout, a jumper trampoline and a giant rope swing.
The equipment will be partially sourced from recycled materials and the finished play area is expected to connect with Higginson Park's cafe and toilet facilities via a dedicated pathway.
Clive Harriss, Cabinet Member for Culture and Leisure said: “We have placed an order with the successful bidder, and we’re delighted to announce that the refurbishment work will commence on Monday, June 5.
“Upon completion, the new children’s play area will provide an engaging, secure and inclusive environment for children of all ages and abilities to explore, learn and have fun. Featuring innovative play equipment, sensory experiences and accessible design elements, it will foster a sense of community while promoting physical activity and social interaction among our young residents.
“This investment shows our commitment to providing all families in Buckinghamshire with first-rate play area facilities.”
