A member of a litter-picking group was 'heartbroken' to find thousands of unused nappy bags along a roadside yesterday.
Laura Alexandra, a member of the Marlow Wombles litter-picking group, said it was "heartbreaking" to find unused nappy bags littered along a roadside in Medmenham yesterday (April 19).
Laura said she was driving through the village when she noticed a large number of unused plastic nappy bags that she thinks fell from a passing lorry onto the roadside.
Later in the day, she saw that they were still there and picked up as much of the litter as she could, though some had blown away into a nearby river and woodland areas.
Laura said she will take the plastic she had collected to a local supermarket for recycling and is planning a litter-picking event in the area to help route out any remaining stragglers.
