Members of the Muslim community have been taking part in iftars all over the town as Ramadan continues.
One of the events, which was hosted by Sacred Learning on April 12 at the Hive Community Centre, saw several local personalities such as Deputy Mayor Nabeela Rana, Councillor Leserly Clarke, Councillor Mahboob Bhatti, and the Liberal Democrat’s Parliamentary candidate for Wycombe, Toni Brodelle, attend.
This took place just over a week after another iftar occurred, as members of the Islamic faith broke their daily fast on the Adams Park pitch - the home of Wycombe Wanderers.
It is believed this is the first time an official iftar has taken place on a professional pitch at a recognised Football League stadium within the country.
Incredibly honoured to have been invited to @wwfcofficial inaugural community iftar last night. WWFC has always been a community club & it was amazing to be part of such a beautiful, inclusive event.

Huge thanks to @wwfcfdn for hosting & to Sh. Tanvir & Imam Jeelani for leading. pic.twitter.com/qNXWDlME6M
Ms Brodelle, who attended both events, said on Twitter: So beautiful to have been able to be part of this special evening [April 4].
"Thank you, @wwfcfdn and @wwfcofficial for understanding that our club is - and always has been - about our community.”
Ramadan will conclude on April 21.
