A MYSTERY noise has startled Buckinghamshire residents yesterday morning.
A loud noise alarmed residents in Hazlemere shortly after 8am on Monday (March 20).
Birds were seen flying away after an explosion ripped through the peaceful morning air.
The mystery sound was captured on Hazlemere resident Michael Cary’s doorbell security camera at 8.17am on his way to school.
He said: “I thought at first it was a gunshot. It made me jump. Others down the road heard it from inside their homes. Afterwards I realised it seemed almost too loud to even be a gunshot!
“The sound seemed to come from Kingswood right by Magnolia Dene.”
Michael got in touch with the police in High Wycombe, who told him they were going to take a sweep of the woods tomorrow morning, he claimed.
